This week, I’m joined by none other than my fly and phenomenal cousin, Whitley Abrams, for a conversation that is equal parts inspiring, affirming, and powerful. This episode is truly a celebration of purpose, vision, and what it means to speak your dreams into existence.
Whitley is a proud Black girl scientist and forensic chemistry professional, and in this episode, she reflects on how she brought her lifelong dream of becoming a forensic scientist to life. We talk about her journey into STEM, claiming her seat at the table, and navigating spaces where representation still matters deeply. Her story is a reminder that when you believe in the vision, the rest truly can follow.
One of the most impactful parts of our conversation is Whitley sharing how she’s now paying it forward by launching her very own scholarship for Black women pursuing forensic science and forensic chemistry. From the lab to legacy-building, she opens up about the responsibility and joy of creating opportunities for the next generation and honoring the little girl who first dreamed it all up.
If you’re passionate about purpose, science, or creating pathways for others, this episode will leave you inspired and empowered. Whitley’s journey is proof that showing up consistently for your calling can change not just your life, but countless others too.
